Edison Energia and IPlanet join forces for the Energy transitino in transport

The partnership aims to digitalise access to sustainable mobility. Through the Edison Plug&Go+ app and the IPlanet app, customers can benefit from discounts on electric charging at IPlanet stations, which are 100% green thanks to photovoltaic systems and the supply of renewable electricity from Edison Energia. Through IPlanet’s digital channels, customers can also access Edison’s green electricity and gas offers, with savings of up to €50 per year.

Milan, 28 July 2025 – Edison Energia, the Edison Group company active in the sale of electricity and gas to households, businesses, and the retail market, and IPlanet, a company developing high-power charging infrastructure to support the Italian transition towards more sustainable energy, have signed a partnership agreement to promote electric mobility and the use of renewable energy in the transport sector. The collaboration marks a concrete step towards the energy and digital transition of both the transport industry and the country, offering customers charging solutions powered entirely by green energy, supported by solar panels, storage batteries and renewable electricity supplied by Edison Energia.

Customers using the Edison Plug&Go+ app will benefit from a 20% discount when charging at IPlanet stations listed on the platform, located both in urban centres and along high-traffic extra-urban roads. The same discounted rates will also be available to Edison Plug&Go+ customers using the IPlanet app. Meanwhile, IPlanet and IP customers will be able to access a dedicated green electricity and gas offer, which includes annual savings of up to €50 on the fixed component of their energy bill.

IPlanet aims to install 3,000 ultrafast charging points across Italy, distributed over more than 500 service areas, consolidating its position as one of the country’s leading fast-charging operators. The company is particularly focused on the High Power Charging (HPC) segment, offering rapid charging solutions without compromising on the availability of AC charging.
